Big Pacific, Gold World Medal Winner at 2018 New York Festivals International Television & Film Awards

Big Pacific is a high-definition nature documentary series co-produced by China Central Television and television stations from countries including New Zealand, the United States and Germany. The production team visited more than twenty countries and regions across the globe, penetrating deep into the Pacific Ocean, filming nearly thirty extraordinary species and stories. The series’ rich original content, filmed to the highest production standards, makes compelling viewing. The Chinese-language version of Big Pacific was translated by Axios’ documentary department and premiered during the 2018 New Year period on Central China Television’s documentary channel (CCTV-9), where it achieved high viewing figures and garnered critical acclaim.

Selected Films Screened at the 21st Shanghai International Film Festival

Many of the films participating in this year’s Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) have been translated by Axios, including Fun Mom Dinner, Happy Birthday, Toby Simpson, Back to Burgundy and Gauguin which were screened in the Spectrum category, as well as Men Don’t Cry screened in the SIFF Highlights category.

White Fang Was Entered into the 21st Shanghai International Film Festival Golden Goblet Award Competition for Animation

Directed by Alexandre Espigares, who won an Oscar for Best Animated Short Film, this adaptation of Jack London’s classic novel White Fang was nominated for the Golden Goblet Award: Animation at the 21st Shanghai International Film Festival. The Axios translator sought to maintain the linguistic style of the original text in order to lead the Chinese audience into the world of “White Fang” and be moved by the experience.

The Spy Who Dumped Me, Axios Translations’ latest project, is serious about cracking you up.

The Spy Who Dumped Me, a Lionsgate production directed by Susanna Fogel, starring Mila Kunis and Kat McKinnon, was released in theaters nationwide on October 19th, 2018. This hilarious spy caper follows best friends Audrey and Morgan who find themselves thrown into an international adventure. 

Audrey discovers her ex-boyfriend is a spy when he entrusts her with a top-secret mission just before he is killed. With tens of millions of lives at stake, Audrey and Morgan embark on an action-packed odyssey across the globe, fighting professional assassins along the way. The two best friends, with dramatically different personalities and zero espionage experience, find themselves responsible for saving the world.
